Paul has over 35 years of experience practicing in the Bahamas, specializing in: corporate and financial services, commercial law, shipping, conveyancing, probate and estate planning, and intellectual property law. Paul is the Bahamian Counsel for Sandals, and has over the years advised many high-profile clients from all over the world.
Paul has also enjoyed extensive experience and success in Cuba, including setting up spvs for conducting business locally, familiarity with jurisdictional issues involved in Cuban related transactions and over two decades of experience cultivating excellent working relationships there. He has represented multinational companies in several Cuban joint ventures in metals, mining, oil and gas; understands business practices and procedures for incorporation as well as maintenance and compliance for foreign companies and investment in Cuba; and he has intimate and hands on understanding of the Cuban tax and tributary system including customs duties and ancillary fees payable in Cuba. Paul has served as the Bahamian Counsel for Cubana de Aviacion S.A. and Havanatur (Bahamas) Limited - in The Bahamas - for in excess of 10 years.
Paul has been published in numerous shipping journals including Shipping Finance Annual. He served as a partner at one of the larger law firms in the Bahamas for several decades before joining Gus to form what is now Constantakis Knowles. Paul was called to the Bahamian bar in 1978.
